Zoe was a "one-of-a-kind" type of cat.
Once you made her acquaintance, you never forgot her. Out of all of our cats, she was
friendly and so easy to love with her quirky antics.
Zoe was born in Chicago Illinois, February 1st, 2000, the 2nd kitten
born out of Scully's first and only litter. I watched her being born, and watching her
grow in the 15 years/7 months/24 days we had with her, was a pleasure and an honor.
From her first breath, Zoe was an intelligently "touched" kitty. She did
some of the strangest things.
~ Quirky, and very fond memories ~
She was the "town-crier". She told us when food and water were low,
when litter boxes needed cleaning, and when other animals were getting in
trouble.
Zotting. We often joked that those "zots" were her laser eye beams
malfunctioning. Or transmissions from the Mother Ship since she acted like an
alien cat 90% of the time.
Head bopping.
Her tail forever in your coffee, and like the cartoon cat Garfield, could shed
what seemed like her entire coat all over my freshly waxed kitchen table. Every
time.
Not finding a corner to jump off of tables because they are round (She could
only jump from squared surfaces). If all the chairs were pushed in, she'd go
round and round and round and round....
Demanding that you pull a kitchen chair out so she could put fur and paw prints
all over said freshly waxed table.
The rudder tail and her goofy running.
Licking plastic bags and cat grass...upwards.
She loved sitting on boxes. And sitting in them.
Her incredibly horrid staring problem. We often joked that she was born without
eyelids it was so bad. She truly enjoyed sneaking up behind people and staring.
A lot of times she was doing her "tiny teeth" smile.
Tiny teeth, whole mouth smiles. She had a sense of humor. I love that she
smiled.
She loved tummy and toe rubs. She insisted that you rub her hard. And complained
if you didn't.
Zoe was the most laid back cat, she'd let you do anything especially if treats
were involved.
Her "broken lawnmower" purr. It would stall out, stop, start up
strong, and stall out. And it was loud.
Quilty/poochy face.
Always sticking out her tongue.
Lurching and vulturing from the top of the refrigerator in the early morning
hours.
The left side list, and walking in circles.
All while purring.
She had absolutely no grace. She epically failed many a jump. She usually
knocked things off of the areas she was attempting to jump to or from. The
exception being her perfect arch jump from the kitchen table, to the
counter...because it was square.
Staring at walls...literally touching the wall with her nose.
The statue kitty. She also "teleported", a total ninja cat.
"Wahhhhhh...wahhhh...wahhh"
She shared her Momma's obsession with Heather's purses.
We called her "touched" in the most loving senses of the word. She was
sweet and quirky. But easily distracted, in ways that made me laugh. Doo-pe-doo.
Zoe was loved by so many. She had a good life, healthy, and spoiled.
She passed away, surrounded by family and friends at home, at 8:48am September
25th 2015. She will be cremated, and returned home from Forever Friends. Our family thanks Dan and Tim for their compassionate invaluable service. Thank
you for everything that you do.
Her presence is already, and always will be missed.
Zoe is survived by her sister Madison, she joins her Mom (Scully), and Uncle (Mulder)
over the Rainbow Bridge.
