Most favorite memories of him are the simple moments that stayed with us the most. One of the sweetest was when he would lie stretched out on the floor, completely relaxed, looking like a little frog.. something that always made us stop and smile no matter what was going on. Cj traveled everywhere with us he was part of all we did . He had a rare way of connecting with everyone. Cats, dogs, children ..he welcomed them all with the same gentle, open heart. There was nothing guarded about him. He just made space for others to feel safe. He was also an emotional support companion to our senior mom in Arizona during her battle with cancer. He stayed close to her in a way that brought comfort on the hardest days, offering presence when words weren’t enough. It’s deeply heartbreaking that he later passed from cancer . But in both of their stories, he was there-steady, loving, and constant. He knew us, truly knew us, and in his own way, he held our family together more than we realized at the time. He wasn’t just a pet. He was the best of us.
